It's time for my closeup, Mister DeMille!
Okay, so maybe not. LOL. But I do have pictures of me in a finished Martha to share!
Why, yes, I was at work when these were taken. :) I have now come to the conclusion that I apparently can't pose for shit - all you supermodels out there can now take a breath. You don't have to worry about me taking over the modeling world. Hehe. Really, I'm serious. Take a look at the shop blog - I look as if I'm standing at attention! Eek! Maybe I should learn to become comfortable in front of a camera. ::rolling eyes:: The first picture was definitely taken by my official photographer, Rossana. (I'm so glad you came to Late Night, hon!) Much oohing and ahhing over Martha took place - which definitely makes me glad, as I lurrrve this cardi! As I was leaving for work this morning, I remembered that I was working with Lara and she hadn't seen her yet, so I grabbed her on the way out of the house. Good thing too, I was cold indoors all day today. (Thank heavens for air conditioners!!) While I was modeling Martha for her, we decided to take other pictures of me with Martha unbuttoned. I think I like her better this way. While I have more than enough room across the girls, the cardi still pulls across them when buttoned. So she may just have to be the Unbuttoned Cardi, like Erin's. But back to the modeling... Lara came up with the idea that I should have a signature pose - while we didn't come up with one, I had to throw in the "artsy shot" that Rowan seems to love - you know, the one where you can't see a damn thing about how the sweater is supposed to lie?? Yeah, that one.
Lotus Blossom is coming along nicely. Right now, I'm averaging about 2 rows every 30 minutes or so. But at least I'm finally done with Chart 3. Only 3 more to go - they have less rows, but much more stitches. Right now, there are 229 stitches. There will be 333 when I finish. I still have a freakin' long way to go. At least the pattern changes up and I'll get interested again. :) (As beautiful as those stems will be, they are damn boring to knit - and easy to fuck up.)
A couple of weeks ago at Late Night (or was it Knit N Nosh?) I mentioned that although I generally don't like reality shows (although I LOVED Dancing With the Stars!!), I had two new favorites - TLC's Miami Ink and A&E's Inked. Can you tell me what these shows might have in common? Yup, they're about tattoos. Something I've been thinking about doing for awhile. I already have one - I got it 4 years ago on my birthday and have been thinking about adding to it for the past couple of years. Now that I've started thinking about it again, it seems like all the signs are telling me yes. Now just to decide what, when, and where. Not that anyone really cares about all that, but hey, it's my blog and I'll talk if I want to. LMAO. Who else out there has them? What are they of? Are any knitting-related? (I know I'm being nosy, but look at the statement above. Hehe.)

Late Night sure was fun! Thanks for getting my bottom out there. =)
And I like the pose on the far right the best. Maybe we'll just have to start having photo-shoot sessions to get you more comfy in front of the lens. Or maybe we need to get you more liquored up first. Hee!

Love Martha! Love the color and fit. Good job!
As for tattoos, I have two. One I designed myself, it's a star/moon/sun combo, and I it sits opposite of my other tattoo on my lower back. My second tattoo is from a Dali painting called invisible man. It runs down my spine and it's about 7-9" long. This one is about 9 years old. My first one is about 14 years old.
Now for places to go...I'm a strong believer in paying the bucks for quality work from talented artists...NYC, Baltimore, Richmond, LA, Miami, SanFran.

You look marvelous in your Martha, dahling. It look like a really comfortable sweater that will bring warmth and security for years to come. Enjoy it and wear it well.

I can totally sympathize with the "how the hell do I look natural, this isn't natural" reaction to posing for completed sweater shots. But, you look great and so does Martha.

I haven't been making the blog rounds lately and didn't realize you had finished your Martha. She is very lovely! A very good color for you.
I also have been thinking of altering my tatoo that I have had for about eight years. And since I can't fly to Miami to have the Miami Ink guys go at it, there is a place here in DC I would recommend...Fatty's Custom Tatooz. My husband went there and we were very impressed.
